(Last Sunday of each month)
Central to our life as a community is our corporate worship—an expression of our common thanksgiving and praise to God. Sunday and Saturday services at St. Stephen's combine the best of our Episcopal tradition and joyful celebration. Worship, whether corporate or personal, ornate or simple, reminds us that we can experience God in many different ways.
Music plays an important role in worship. The beauty, innovation, and tradition of St. Stephen's music program encourages the participation of both children and adults, and is enriched by the a mixture of styles, both traditional and contemporary.
5:00 pm Saturday - Holy Eucharist, Healing & Homily, Rite II
This service appeals to those who desire a casual, quiet and intimate service. This service ends before 6:00 pm and many of the worshipers gather for fellowship on the Patio.
8:00 am Sunday - Holy Eucharist & Sermon, Rite II
Using the more contemporary language of The Book of Common Prayer, this service appeals to those who desire a quiet and intimate service. This service ends before 9:00 am and many of the early morning worshipers gather for coffee and fellowship on the Patio.
10:30 am Sunday - Holy Eucharist & Sermon, Rite II
Using the more contemporary language of The Book of Common Prayer, this service appeals to a widely-varied congregation, from young adults and families with young children, to octogenarians. The liturgy is an upbeat celebration of the Eucharist, with sermons designed to acknowledge the presence of our children in some way. During the Liturgy of the Word our children Grades Two and below remain in Godly Play or Nursery. All children are escorted back into church in time to join their families for the passing of the Peace and Holy Communion. The Parish Choir leads the congregation in a mixture of traditional and contemporary music. This service ends promptly at 11:30 a.m. After the service, worshipers gather on the Patio for coffee, tea, and conversation.
7:00 pm Sunday -
