 St.
Stephen’s has a unique relationship with
Good Shepherd Mission
in Ft. Defiance, Arizona. Good Shepherd is located on the Navajo
Reservation in Northern Arizona. The "sister parish"
relationship has been one of mutual sharing of resources and
spirituality. The current Vicar of Good Shepherd Mission is Fr. Jim Leehan. Members of St. Stephen's J2A High School group made a pilgrimage to Good Shepherd in May of 2004 and helped to demolish a wing of one of the original buildings at the Mission. The remainder of the building has been renovated and opened as a gallery to display Native American art. |
