St. Stephen's Episcopal Church is a lively parish dedicated to making God's love visible. Whether centered on support, fellowship, service or spirituality, the following opportunities bring people further into community with one another and allow them to share their time, talent, and treasure.  We welcome you to participate!

Worship

Worship Services services are offered on Saturday at 5:00 p.m. and Sunday at, 8:00 and 10:30 a.m. Learn more about worship at St. Stephen's.

The Altar Guild of St. Stephens is looking for new people interested in preparing the altar and sanctuary for all Saturday, Sunday, weekday, and special services, including weddings and funerals. Contact Fran Smith for more information.

Godly Play Volunteers are needed to help with story telling, welcoming, and feast. You don’t have to be a parent to get involved. Volunteers serve on a rotation one Sunday every couple of months. To learn more about this rewarding volunteer opportunity, contact (Youth Ministries Director).

Christian Formation Volunteers are needed to assist with the On The Edge and F.A.I.T.H. programs for children and youth. To learn more, contact Youth Director, (Youth Ministries Director).

 

Fellowship

Parish Choir Rehearsals - Wednesday 7:00 p.m. Contact Ken Seipp for more information.

Coffee in the Frederickson Hall- Come enjoy refreshments and fellowship in Frederickson Hall following each service. To sign up to host a Coffee in Frederickson Hall, contact Christy Dargus.
 

Helping Hands - gathers to assist the office staff with assembling folding newsletters, bulletins and other documents. To sign up to help, contact Christy Dargus.

Heretics Weekly Book Study - gathers at Echo Coffee (68th Street and Thomas) Saturdays 12:30 p.m. The current book is "Why Christianity Must Change or Die" by Bishop John Shelby Spong.

Thanksgiving Dinner- Join us in Frederickson Hall for a Thanksgiving Feast - November 25th. Turkey and gravy are provided. Bring a dish to share. More information.

St. Stephen's parishioners care deeply for one another. Learn more about opportunities to pray for one another, to serve on Care Teams, and to give aid to those who have requested help through the Pastoral Care Ministry.

Education

Sunday Classes for adults, youth, & children at 9:30 a.m.

Gift and Bookshop - All are welcome to the Gift and Bookshop.  Look ahead to Advent and Christmas in a relaxed, pleasant atmosphere.

Service/Outreach

Food Bank opportunities. The Food Bank is always in need of non-perishable items such as cereal, peanut butter, macaroni and cheese, soup, and beans. Drop contributions in the basket outside the Sanctuary on Saturday or Sundays, or bring to the office. Food distribution is Wednesdays 9 a.m. to 12 noon.


Habitat for Humanity Work Day is scheduled for November 20.

Estate Sale - An estate sale is planned for November 12 and 13 at the Virginia Jones estate - 2405 E Fairmont Ave Phoenix, AZ 85016.   More Information.
