Valley
Interfaith
Project (VIP) is
a non-partisan,
broad-based,
dues paying
organization
comprised of
congregations,
labor unions,
schools, and
other
not-for-profit
organizations.
For 20 years,
VIP has trained
thousands of
leaders
throughout
Maricopa County
to enter into
public life and
become active in
the leadership
of their
communities.
VIP represents
the growing
diversity of
Maricopa County,
drawing from
different
cultural
backgrounds,
economic levels,
and faith
traditions. VIP
organizes from
the standpoint
that we all have
a stake in
protecting the
common good and
participating in
the democratic
process. VIP
leaders envision
a better quality
of life for all
Valley residents
through
involvement in
refashioning the
political
culture, shaping
neighborhood
infrastructure,
improving
education, and
developing the
economy.
VIP develops
leaders by
teaching and
practicing the
Iron Rule of
organizing:
“Never
do for others
what they can do
for themselves.”
