Youth Acolyte Program

St. Stephen's children assume their first ministry at a young age by serving as acolytes. Children as young as 4 or 5 begin as "Boat Carriers,"  bearing the containers of incense at Christmas and Easter.  Beginning in Grade 3, children may serve as Torch Bearers, and then graduate to being Crucifer (carrying the Cross in procession) and Server (assisting the Priest and Deacon during Holy Eucharist and ringing the bells.)

Our Youth Acolytes are trained by a team of clergy, and other youth ministers. They also have the privilege of attending special events planned just for them, including trips to Disneyland, and our annual Fun Day at Sunsplash Water Park every summer.
