Stewardship

Everything we have—our families, our homes, our work, our talents and abilities, our friends, our ministries, and our money—is a gift from God. The ministry of stewardship calls each of us to be good trustees of these gifts for God. How good we are as trustees measures our gratitude for all that God has done and continues to do for us.
Stewardship involves the use of our time, talent, and treasure in a way that honors God. Living into this understanding of stewardship can set us on a path to a deeper knowledge of God and make God the center of our lives.
Each individual or household within St. Stephen's is encouraged to find ways to use their time and talents to build up this faith community. There are numerous opportunities to get involved in service both within the parish and in the larger Phoenix community. For more information about how to use your God-given talents, contact Ken Carleno.
In addition to giving of their time and talents, members are expected to make an annual financial pledge based upon a percent of income. Proportional giving is based on the Biblical and Episcopal Church standard of the tithe (ten percent). Four-fifths of the resources that fund the work we do in God’s name come from pledges gathered during St. Stephen's Annual Giving Campaign.
To learn more about how you can support the church through annual or planned giving, contact Ken Carleno.
